In 2018, I stumbled upon an analog photographer named Joe Greer (@ioegreer) , who focuses on capturing his everyday life. I admired the warm and soft light of his photographs and fell in love with understanding how he could create images that felt so authentic.
Inspired, I bought my first analog camera, a Canon A1, a 1980 model, along with the chemicals to develop pictures from start to finish at home. Despite many frustrating, unsuccessful results and money down the drain, I couldn’t stop myself from figuring things out.
After a couple of years of experimenting, I finally got the hang of it and developed my own style.
Recently, when I decided to become a full-time freelancer (Oak Design) in branding and web design, I questioned whether that love for photography could be translated into a business as well.
As much as I would have loved to offer analog photography, it has its own limitations in terms of the cost of film and the risks of never really knowing the results until you develop them.
So, I bought a digital camera and made the switch. 📷
While I am still developing my own style in digital photography, I have started working with business, and I truly enjoy it. I focus on capturing authentic moments that highlight businesses, and the people behind it who simply experience life in a genuine and transparent way.
